Jeff L. Childress

Chief Accounting Officer

Mr. Childress serves as Chief Accounting Officer of Dynex Capital. He joined the Company in 2005 and is responsible for the Company’s accounting, financial reporting, and tax functions. He brings more than 30 years of accounting and finance experience, including expertise in SEC reporting, U.S. GAAP, internal controls, and public company governance.

Prior to becoming Chief Accounting Officer, Mr. Childress served as the Company’s Controller. He began his career as an auditor at KPMG.

Mr. Childress earned Bachelor of Science degrees in Finance and Accounting from Virginia Tech.
